Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful applicant will be required to carry out all mechanical repairs & maintenance on Caterpillar & non-caterpillar products at our Bunbury branch. This branch services the South West Area from Mandurah out to Lake Grace and down to the Albany area with customers ranging from BCON, Forestry and Mining.

Job details

• Monday – Friday roster
• 10 hour days
• Bunbury residential only

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Carrying out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to Caterpillar fleets
• Knowledge of diagnosis / fault finding and troubleshooting on Heavy Equipment
• Complete service reports, identify parts requirements
• Working in teams to achieve deadlines

About you;

• Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• 3 - 5 years post Trade experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised and remote.
• Excellent fault-finding skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools, such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's.
• Current C Class Licence – HR Preferred.

Desirable Criteria:

• High Risk Work Licence (i.e. LF, DG, RG, EWP).
• Familiarity with service literature.
