A great opportunity is available to work for one of the largest authorised Caterpillar dealers in the world as a Claims Coordinator.

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the Claims Coordinator is accountable for compiling, preparing and submitting claims to Caterpillar (CAT) as per CAT Guidelines and WesTrac policy and procedures.

This position is responsible for ensuring that WesTrac obtains the maximum financial refund available from CAT programs to improve the business’s financial performance.

 

Role Accountabilities

 

  • Prepare and submit claims on Cat template and summaries for Customer Appreciation Program (CAP) parts claims based on individual customer incentive levels provided by Caterpillar. Process journal into required WesTrac account where applicable.
  • Prepare participatory discount claims, customer loyalty claims and other parts dedicated programs or once off claims. Submitting using the Caterpillar Product Support Commercial System. Process journals into required WesTrac accounts, follow up outstanding claims and credits and reconcile when received.
  • Liaise with Global Cat Mining Pricing on review and approval of claims
  • Liaise with Area Managers to regarding the WesTrac Customer Loyalty Program to obtain the information required to prepare and process manual credit.
  • Proactively identify processes within the Finance Operations Department that would benefit from improvements and recommend the appropriate action.

 

Experience and Knowledge

 

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in a similar Claims Coordination role involving customer incentive programs
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Advanced computer literacy skills – MS Office (specifically Excel), internet-based applications including Web Extender, Coda, Cognos, showcase

 

Desirable:

  • Previous utilisation of Caterpillar Dealer Business System (DBS)
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar Parts process
