EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - POST TRADE | TOMAGO
About the role
As the technology of Caterpillar equipment continues to evolve, so too must the skills of our technicians to provide our customers with the highest level of skill and expertise.
Reporting to the General Manager – People & Culture, in the newly created role of Employee Development Manager - Post Trade, you will lead a team of highly skilled and passionate technical trainers. With the ability to design and deploy contemporary learning strategies, based on a systematic and structured approach to identifying the learning needs across our business, this role will be critical to deliver on our learning and development strategy for the next 5 years.
This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday, offered with a competitive salary package.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the business to define and scope post-trade training requirements and develop and deploy annual training plans across the Tomago workshops and regional branch network
Play a strategic role in setting the direction and development of our training programs by ensuring they are innovative, fit for purpose, address adult learning principles and meet customer needs
Build an inclusive, innovative and engaging learning culture within the post-trade training team

Skills & Experience
Extensive demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of end to end training systems and processes, from needs analysis through to evaluation, content development, delivery, and measurement
Enthusiasm and infectious passion for reinvigorating the adult learning space, engaging our stakeholders and bringing them on the development journey
Leadership and management experience with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate teams
Sound working knowledge of Registered Training Organisation Management and National VET Framework
Previous work within a RTO/Training environment preferred
Desirable - Trade Qualification, qualifications within Training and Education, Certificate IV Training and Assessment
Previous industrial or heavy machinery experience and exposure to Caterpillar products is highly desirable but not essential
Drivers licence with the ability and willingness to travel to engage with key stakeholders
