Position Purpose:
To successfully support our customer experience and new machine sales optimisation we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Inventory Planner to join our Sales Support team. This is a new position reporting to the Sales Support Supervisor and will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing critical path activities and identifying possible mitigation efforts that must be undertaken to ensure the on time delivery of new machines.
As an experienced planner your customer focus and ability to collaborate and negotiate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders you will lead and support the planning team to drive an improvement in our delivery on to time commitment to our customers
Role Accountabilities:
Live the Values - Leads by example everyday through actions, behaviours and decisions Including compliance with WesTrac’s safety procedures, safe working practices and life- saving rules
Liaise with all stakeholders for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling relating to machine ordering, parts availability, payment and delivery dates to maximise Delivery in Full On Time (DIFOT) for new machine sales
Verify quote accuracy and ensure all conditions of sale are met ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing, in line with estimates, quotations and contract commitments.
Ensure CAT claims are managed and reported accurately and in-line with CAT and WesTrac Policy
Re-cost and provide detailed analyses on any contract variations requested via management or the sales teams from time-to-time. Consult and inform key stakeholders on changes, adjustments and variations to costs
Identify, track and report slippage and DIFOT risks
Actively identify and rollout of continuous improvement opportunities to support or complement the team goals
Experience and Knowledge:
Education/Certificates:
Tertiary level qualifications or equivalent
Technical:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the Earthmoving and Heavy Equipment Industry
Intermediate computer literacy skills (MS Office Suite)
Exposure to CRM and planning software
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with accounting, ERP & software packages
Functional:
Highly developed attention to detail with the ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives
Highly developed analytical skills
Customer focused with the ability to effectively consult and negotiate with stakeholders, build positive relationships, and to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
Well-developed leadership and influencing skills
