The Role

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Afternoon Shift Team Leader is accountable for conducting appropriate testing and analysis of fluid samples (e.g. oil, coolant, fuel and grease) as per WesTrac Quality Manual and safety policies and procedures, uploading subsequent results and checking for accuracy prior to release for interpretation and analysis to ensure an increase in the lifetime of customer assets.

The Afternoon Shift Team Leader is responsible for providing a broad range of advice, guidance and assistance to the Laboratory Technicians and acts as main point of contact for all testing equipment issues and associated maintenance requirements. This role is expected to stand in for the lab supervisor in cases of leave (planned or emergency).

About You

Education/Certificates

• Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
• Strong computer literacy skills – MS Office
• 3 years of Laboratory Experience is desired.

Experience and Knowledge

• Minimum 1 years’ experience leading a team.
• High level of attention to detail and Analytical skills
• Sound communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
• Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
