We are currently seeking a Plant Mechanic for the Heavy Construction area based in South Guildford.
Job Details:
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor your roster will be Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day, rotating shifts (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights)
Maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment
Tasks and duties include but are not limited to:
Carrying out scheduled maintenance program to Caterpillar fleets; Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Excavators & Trucks
Carrying out repairs and inspections on, but not restricted to, Caterpillar fleets
Knowledge of diagnosis / fault finding and troubleshooting on Heavy Equipment
Required to complete service reports, identify parts requirements and complete time sheets
Working in teams to achieve deadlines
Working with permanent site personnel towards common goals and targets
Risk Assessments for every task, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment
Maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment
Ensure company safety procedures, safe working practices and Safety Lifesaving Rules are strictly followed, to achieve zero harm and incidents
Essential Criteria :
Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification
Current WA Drivers Licence
High Risk Licence – Dogging & Forklift
Diagnose faults with Caterpillar equipment at all levels
Extensive Caterpillar and associated product knowledge
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Dedicated commitment to Safety & QA
Ability to work autonomously
Dedicated to fulfilling internal and external customer requirements
Able to Follow and execute Inspection Test Plan
