We are currently seeking a Plant Mechanic for the Heavy Construction area based in South Guildford.

Job Details: 

• Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor your roster will be Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day, rotating shifts (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights)
• Maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment 

Tasks and duties include but are not limited to:

• Carrying out scheduled maintenance program to Caterpillar fleets; Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Excavators & Trucks
• Carrying out repairs and inspections on, but not restricted to, Caterpillar fleets
• Knowledge of diagnosis / fault finding and troubleshooting on Heavy Equipment
• Required to complete service reports, identify parts requirements and complete time sheets
• Working in teams to achieve deadlines
• Working with permanent site personnel towards common goals and targets
• Risk Assessments for every task, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment
• Maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment
• Ensure company safety procedures, safe working practices and Safety Lifesaving Rules are strictly followed, to achieve zero harm and incidents

 Essential Criteria:

• Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Current WA Drivers Licence
• High Risk Licence – Dogging & Forklift
• Diagnose faults with Caterpillar equipment at all levels 
• Extensive Caterpillar and associated product knowledge
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Dedicated commitment to Safety & QA
• Ability to work autonomously 
• Dedicated to fulfilling internal and external customer requirements
• Able to Follow and execute Inspection Test Plan
