The successful applicant will be responsible for the hands on supervision of trade and non trade personnel as well as carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance to equipment enrolled within the contract. You will be responsible for both workshop and pit repairs at Mt Whaleback.

Job Details:

• Reporting to Shift Supervisor
• 7 days, 7 nights, 7 off, FIFO (Ex Perth)
• 12 hours per shift

 Job Duties:

• Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing on a range of Caterpillar Equipment
• Identifying and recommending preventative maintenance on equipment
• Completion of in field diagnosis and repairs
• Completing warranty repair work and reports
• Manage work orders including ordering parts as required
• Carrying out Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support program
• Maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment

Essential Criteria:

• Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Leadership experience with the ability to build a cohesive team with a common goal
• 5 years post Trade experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to organise work teams and delegate tasks
• Previous experience with mining equipment essential
• Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience
• Demonstrate strong safety values
• Current C Class Licence – HR Preferred
• Working at Heights & Confined Spaces, Dogging & Basic Rigging, Forklift tickets/licences
