The Role

A Technology Product Specialist – Grade is Subject Matter Expert in Caterpillar technology products, focused on providing expert technical support for Caterpillar Grade technology to WesTrac stakeholders and customers.

A Technology Product Specialist is flexible, highly professional, and focused on working in partnership with all teams in the technology division, actively contributing to the development of technical documentation, product training, advanced analysis and resolution of technology related issues.

About You

Education/Certificates

• Degree qualification in relevant Engineering discipline and / or
• Advanced trade qualification in mechanical /automotive electrical or electronic field
• Advanced computer literacy skills / qualifications

Experience and Knowledge

• 3 years post qualification experience
• 3 years surveying industry experience within construction, mining, industrial automation or oil and gas industry
• Strict adherence to safe working practices, policies and procedures
• Advanced communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with the ability to cultivate relationships at all levels
• Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability manage multiple priorities
• Highly developed attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and compile reports to provide suitable recommendations and resolutions
• High level problem-solving skills with the ability to follow through with required actions
• Ability to work proficiently within a team and / or autonomously
• Ability to coach and mentor individuals in office, classroom or work site environments
• Knowledge and understanding of WesTrac / Caterpillar technology products
• Knowledge and understanding of mining automation and control products and their application.
• Experience on construction sites, including understanding of operations
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in high performing teams
