Reporting to the Workshop supervisor, this role will be part of a busy workshop maintaining and repairing Caterpillar products that are brought into the workshop at our Newman branch. Your responsibility will involve carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing and managing work orders. You will be required to carry out Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs whilst maintaining and operating in a safe work environment

About the role

• Newman residential role or FIFO (ex Perth)
• 2/1 or 2/2 rosters available
• 12 hour days
• Relocation package on offer (Housing and utilities provided)

Newman lies some 15 kilometres north of the Tropic of Capricorn and is the largest town in the East Pilbara.        A real oasis in the outback, Newman has an array of facilities, including a shopping centre with approximately 15 specialty stores, banks, post-office, caravan parks, hotel/motels, restaurants, vehicle service repair centres, medical and hospital facilities, and numerous sporting clubs.

The role will require you to have;

• Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Previous experience with mining equipment essential
• Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience
• Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools, such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
• Ability to work successfully within a team, autonomously and unsupervised
• Current C Class Licence (HR preferred)

It is desirable for you to have;

• Current Forklift Licence
• Elevated Work Platform
• Dogging & Basic Rigging
• Working at Heights, Confined Spaces
