WesTrac are currently seeking an experienced and team orientated Autonomous Haulage Conversion Specialist / Plant Mechanic to join our Product Support Group.

Reporting to the Product Support Group Supervisor, the successful applicant will be part of a busy and diverse team whilst gaining and developing your experience and knowledge on CAT machinery and systems.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Utilizing OEM equipment and literature to convert manned haulage equipment to autonomous operation
• Adhering to customer requirements for agreed delivery timeframes
• Ability to consistently produce high quality product
• Work with team to identify and enable improvement strategies
• Working with other WesTrac groups to deliver converted OHT
• Complete project safely to customer & WesTrac expectations, policies & procedures
• Exposure cutting edge technologies & pathway to other roles in the technology and autonomous haulage system careers.

Job details

• 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster
• 12-hour days
• Shift and site allowances apply

Location –East Pilbara

• Site accommodation at Large east Pilbara camp,
• Large range of sport options available

Essential Criteria:

• Truck or HD Qualified Fitters only
• Ability to work shift work
• Current Drivers Licence

Desirable Criteria:

• Dogging Ticket
• Rigging Ticket
• Forklift Ticket
• Previous experience with mining equipment
