PROJECT MANAGER – Western Sydney
About the role
WesTrac is currently seeking an accomplished Project Manager to join our Sydney Region team on a 36 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Regional Manager – Sydney you will be responsible for the management of 8+ personnel including technicians, parts interpreters and drivers. Business development and liaison with the JV parties is also required. This role will give WesTrac a central communication point for parts, service and machine sales.
This position requires a high level of drive, with a strong professional work ethic. You will need to be an enthusiastic self-starter with a focus on results and detail, with a strong motivation to succeed. You will be able to develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be adept at problem solving and negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
Adding value to our customers operation by achieving maintenance and operational targets
Planning and schedule of works activities
Managing work completion against schedules
Management of breakdown activities
Assist the project with planning of maintenance and equipment management
Provide technical leadership, direction, advise and support to the team
Establish and maintain customer relationships
Promote initiative and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
Relevant qualifications in Project Management or Engineering
Experience working in an operational environment
Strong Project Management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with employees, peers and suppliers
Proven ability to manage people through team building to achieve set targets
Good negotiation and selling skills
Ability to work under pressure
Good communication skills
Previous supervisory or management experience
Computer Literacy in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
You will possess a professional and proactive approach to your work supporting the project. As a strong communicator and influencer, you will have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the business and will be adept in negotiating and problem solving.
