Plant Mechanic – Canberra

About the role

We have a full time permanent opportunity within our Workshop at Canberra for a qualified Plant Mechanic with experience working on the complete range of Cat equipment.

Our Plant Mechanics are recognised for their exact knowledge of Cat equipment – well trained, professional, and experts in their field. The best tooling is available, and you can continue to learn alongside some of the best trade’s professionals. We have an excellent leadership team, and great opportunities for trade and career advancement.

This is a Monday to Friday roster, working 10 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver hands on mechanical and technical support to our Caterpillar customers in ACT
• Perform repairs, maintenance and inspections
• Maintain a strong safety culture
• Continuous improvement

About you

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

• Proven experience in a similar role with a mechanical trade qualification
• Strong Caterpillar product knowledge
• Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills with strong job planning skills
• Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment

You will have a proactive approach to your work with demonstrated experience working in high performing teams and have a methodical approach to problem solving.
