We have an exciting opportunity for a FIFO Plant Mechanic. Flying into Roy Hill working 2 weeks on (7 days, 7 nights), 2 weeks off, 12.5 hours per day (inclusive of a 30-minute meal break).

Roy Hill is situated approximately 130 kilometres out of Newman in West Australia and is an iron ore mine producing 55 million tonne per annum and includes port and rail. With state-of-the-art camp facilities it is one of the premier mine sites in Western Australia!

Reporting to the Project Support Supervisor, this role will require the successful candidate to carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing on a wide range of Caterpillar Equipment including:

  • 793F (Must have extensive knowledge and experience)
  • D11T
  • 854K
  • 24M
  • 994K

The role will require you to have

  • Australian recognised heavy diesel qualification
  • Ability to work completely unsupervised
  • Sound fault finding and diagnostic skills

It would also be beneficial for you to have a Working at Heights, DG, RB and FL licence for this role.
