Our training team is growing!  Due to an influx of new courses and developments we are on the lookout for proven Trainer and Assessors to deliver our technical courses.  These courses are delivered across a wide range of CAT related subjects and delivered to skilled tradespeople both WesTrac and external clients. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in using / working on a wide range of CAT products, be Trade Qualified themselves and have an engaging and professional manner when coaching groups. 

Reporting to the Post-Trade Training Manager this role is responsible for:

  • Developing training & assessment materials to support the delivery of internal and external training courses
  • Preparing and planning resources and materials to ensure you are fully prepared to delivery training schedules
  • Complete all relevant participant documentation associated with the training delivered & submit within agreed timeframes
  • Pro-actively manage the learning environment to foster positive participation and appropriate behaviours
  • Ensure knowledge and skills are delivered effectively to all participants
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to build their knowledge and skill base
  • Identify and special training needs or different requirements to align a successful training programme with appropriate support

Essential Criteria 

  • A current Cert IV in Training & Assessment
  • Relevant Trade Certificate with 4+ years of experience working with heavy machinery CAT machinery/equipment experience
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated computer experience in Microsoft office applications
