Reporting to the Asset Management Supervisor, The Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the analysis and revision of maintenance cost projections within Asset Management. 

 

The Asset Management Analyst is the primary contact for existing Maintenance and Repair Contract (MARC) maintenance schedules and projections relating to equipment budgets within Asset Management.  This role provides high level support to the Contract Administration Group ensuring all contract budgets are compliant for financial reporting. 

 

·        Ensure company safety procedures & safe working practices are strictly followed, with the aim of reducing lost time incidents to zero

·        Performs Safe Act Observations in line with required quotas

·        Ensure all accidents/near miss incidents are reported on the WesTrac Incident form as per WesTrac policies

·        Coordinate contract review meetings, recording and distribution of contract review meeting minutes

·        Equipment maintenance and projection analysis is completed in line with the Quarterly Contract review process and in line with the contract reconciliation reporting schedule

·        Establish, review and audit processes within Asset Management (AM) and work with MARC sites to maintain the accuracy of all maintenance costs and projections

·        Liaise with Standard Job Officer to ensure Caterpillar Builder jobs reflect actual maintenance costs, intervals and labor hours

·        Prompt reporting on adverse maintenance costs to budgets projections

·        Equipment maintenance budgets and projections are accurate and up to date in AM

·        Review all aspects of AM with contract financial support to ensure reliability and accuracy

·        Proactively identify processes within the Asset Management area that would benefit from improvements and recommend the appropriate action

·        Action recommendations to make continuous improvements as requested

·        Promote continuous improvement and the utilisation of Caterpillar Product System (CPS) within the Asset Management team

·        Facilitate regular Caterpillar Product System (CPS) meetings as per scheduled

 

 

Essential Criteria:

·        Previous experience analysing earth moving equipment maintenance costs, operational performance and efficiency

·        Previous experience  with Customer Service Agreement (CSA)/maintenance planning

·        Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal

·        Advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office Suite)

·        High attention to detail with the ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives

·        Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously

·        Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines

·        Ability to problem solving with highly developed analytical skills with capability to provide recommendations and action as required

·        Mathematical analysis skills

 

Desirable Criteria:

·        WesTrac systems knowledge

·        Previous Caterpillar machinery maintenance experience

Commerce/business tertiary qualification with post qualification experience
