Field Service Plant Mechanic – Dubbo

About the role

We are seeking an energetic and team orientated Field Service Plant Mechanic to be based at our Dubbo Branch to deliver hands on mechanical and technical support to our Caterpillar customers in the Western Region of NSW. Whether you’re a local to the Region or seeking a change in lifestyle – the team at WesTrac Dubbo has the culture and opportunities for growth you have been searching for.

As the successful applicant you will be required to perform repairs, maintenance and inspections on a range of customer machines. You will apply your high level of technical skill and expertise to carry out these duties. 

Key Responsibilities

• Completing planned maintenance, repairs and servicing on all civil, construction and mining machinery in the Dubbo region.
• Site Support for Dubbo and surrounding areas
• Autonomously providing solutions, service and satisfaction to our customers
• Ensuring the safety of self and your team mates, being aware of your surroundings and not afraid to call out concerns

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Mechanical trade qualification.
• Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
• Strong job planning skills
• Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment
• Ability to work autonomously in the field as well as in a team/workshop environment
