About you
You love the outdoors and have a sense of adventure. You will love the challenge this role brings as you will need to rely on your extensive post trade Caterpillar experience to carry out all sorts of work, from diagnosis and repairs, all the way through to warranty work, all from the back of your company provided ute. You will have a passion for driving if you want to be successful in this role, as you will be responsible for all sites and customers within the Derby and Halls Creek area.
To be successful in this role we will need you to have:
Australian recognised trade qualification in Plant Mechanics (heavy duty)
Previous post trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment
Excellent fault-finding skills
Valid C class licence
Ideally you will also have a high risk licence for LF, DG, RG and EWP. DTEC (Gravel Roads Training) would also be beneficial but not essential.
About the role
Located 220 km north east of Broome, Derby has a rich with cultural history. A community focused town of roughly 4500 people, Derby offers recreation and lifestyle amenities, whilst also being in close proximity to some of Western Australia’s natural attractions and national parks, such as Gibb River Road, Derby Wharf, Windjana Gorge and The Horizontal Falls, we will also consider residents of Halls Creek.
For the successful applicant, relocation assistance is provided as well as housing and utilities. As this is a residential role in also attracts residential, location and field service allowances. Generally it is a 5/2 roster (Monday to Friday) with a 10 hour day.
